Van Mildert Boat Club
VMBC was established in 1965, and for nearly 60 years we’ve prided ourselves on being an inclusive and competitive club, rowing on the River Wear and racing across the country.
We welcome everyone from complete beginners, to experienced rowers and coxes. Read more about our novice and senior squads to find out how to get involved with VMBC.
In 2023, highlights for the club included winning the A A Macfarlane-Grieve Cup at Durham Regatta, the W4+ band 3 cup at Durham Autumn Small Boats Head, and the W4+ Durham college pennant at Rutherford Head.
